I picked Chigani up on 18th jan 04, he was 10 weeks old.
19 Jan 04. Chigani has settled in very well, we had an ok night. We are taking him for a check up at the vets tonight, and i'm going to visit a puppy class so i can start the training process now as he cant go to classes till he's had he's second jabs, but he's learning to toilet out side allready! but we still have a little accident now and again. we are crate traing aswell and it really works! he went through the night and didn't mess his bed. We had to buy a chew deterant as he is chewing things he shouldn't, that seems to be working. on a hole he's a very well behaved puppy.
20 Jan 04. Today was Chigani's first day at work with me, I work in a barbers in milford called Kwik Kuts, we have an area at the back of the shop away from the salon (so not to annoy the clients) where he stays and at first he whingged alot, but once he realised he was'nt getting any attention he went to sleep. I have a fantastic boss called Sallyanne who has very kindly agreed to him comming in with me. (thank you very much Sally!) and as i work half days once he's had his jabs he'l have a long walk before we go to work and a long one after work with both Chad and I.
22 Jan 04. Chigani came to work with me as usual in the afternoon and when we were about to leave my bosses friend poped in with her puppy scrappy, at first Chigani told Scrappy off for being to forward and jumping on him, but they soon started playing and Chigani started to fight dirty, he was grabbing hold of scrappy's leg and tring to pull it round so to get scrappy on the ground! It was lovely to see them, even if it was a bit rough!
25 Jan 04. I went to watch a puppy class last monday and they gave me home work to do with him, as i cant take him untill he's had his second jabs. so he has now learnt SIT, DOWN, and were working on CLOSE walking. He shall be ahead of his class once he starts, not to mention tree times the size of the other puppies!
28 Jan 04. I took Chigani to vets for his second jab, and he can go out for walks in a weeks time, horray! It also snowed this evening so we took Chigani out in the garden to play, he really enjoyed eatting it but i think i enjoyed it more!
31 Jan 04. Chigani weighs 2 stone and 9 pounds (or 37 pounds) his height is 17 inches at the shoulder, his neck is 14 inches and his girth is 23 inches, he wears a large harness, which he has had from since we first got him.
23 Feb 04. Chigani and i started puppy class, he was more advanced than the other puppies as i started with him before hand. He really enjoyed himself.
29 Feb 04. We took Chigani to wilverly plain with the training club, there must have been 30 dogs there! Chigani played alot with a little dog who loved jumping up at chigani's face.
27 Mar 04. Chigani's weight is 4 stone and 11 pounds (or 67 pounds), he is 21 inches high, his neck is 17 inches, he is 42 inches long and his girth is 30 inches.
28 Mar 04. We went again to wilverly plain with the training club, we go every last sunday of the month. This time there was a big german shepperd dog who loved to go around knocking all the other dogs over, so when he knocked chigani over he got up and gave chase, he loved playing with benson as they both play rough, but next month benson wont be able to knock Chigani over then!
29 Mar 04. Chigani's last puppy class and we got a special achievement award for the training i gave him!
5 Apr 04. Today we start a new training class for beginers.
May 04. Chigani cut his paw pad open on beach, it split right open and gushed with blood, i managed to get my car to him and took him to the vets, it took along time to heal and cost us about £300 in the end. after that big bill we took out pet insurance with sainsburys, they offer just as good as package as more than and pet plan but they wanted to charge me £22. a month! sainsburys pet insurance costs me £9.73p a month! what a differance.
11 July 04. Chigani had his fiorst bone.
5 Sept 04. Chigani swam for the first time.
